Sanitary High Intensity LED [HI-LED] Hazardous Location Light Glasses

The SLEX/SVTC and REX/SVTC series Sanitary Explosionproof s light glasses feature a PAPILIAS Inc. industry leading Explosionproof light  fitted with an integral clamp type sanitary sight glass. The lens of the sight glass is an integral part of the unit, not a loose part. The standard unit is suitable for 150PSIG and full vacuum with a maximum temperature limit 500°F.  Higher temperature and pressure ratings are available.

The anodized aluminum parts provide greater cleanliness and aesthetic appeal, making the unit highly popular for pharmaceutical applications.  All wetted parts are machined T316 Stainless Steel (optional materials available), PTFE and glass.  By designing a Series SVTC sanitary clamp type sight glass directly into a Series SLEX-/REX lighting fixture, Papailias allows the user to illuminate the contents of a pressurized vessel or pipeline with High-Intensity LED [HI-LED] or 100W Halogen lighting intensity on existing standard sanitary clamp style ferrules.

Circular Sight Glasses

Windows or portals that allow for direct visual access to operational systems, sight glasses are used in a wide range of industries to allow for easy monitoring of equipment and processes. Mounted directly into tanks, boilers, or pipelines, transparent sight glasses — which come in various forms, including tubes, discs, squares, and panels — provide engineers and operators with accurate, real-time information.

Sight glass windows can be made of tempered glass, toughened glass, or annealed glass, and can be constructed in a range of materials to suit specific needs; borosilicate, soda lime, and quartz are some of the most popular choices.

Along with sight flow indicators, sanitary flow indicators, specialty lighting, and other custom glass products, sight glasses are essential components of industrial process observation systems.

Sight Flow Indicators

In a process system, sight flow indicators offer an easy and efficient way to monitor fluids. Our extensive line of sight flow indicators is designed for varied applications in numerous industries.

Offering standard, high pressure, full view, and PTFE lined sight flow indicators in many sizes means that we are the one-stop source for all indicator equipment. Our standard and high pressure units can be configured with flapper, drip tube, or rotary flow indicators and feature bodies constructed from bronze, carbon steel, or 316 stainless steel and borosilicate glass.

Full view sight flow indicators are constructed from carbon steel or stainless steel with flanged or threaded ends. For high pressure applications, extra heavy wall cylinders are available.

To observe the flow of corrosive materials, our PTFE lined sight flow indicators are the ideal choice. All parts of this indicator are lined with PTFE (except the borosilicate glass) making them inert to corrosive fluids such as chlorides, sulfates, bleach solutions, solvents, acids, and phenols.

For accurate monitoring of fluids in a process system, sight flow indicators are an invaluable tool for determining where problems are occurring while maintaining that systems are working properly. With over 30 years in manufacturing sight flow indicators and process system equipment, Papailias is continuing to lead the industry in product innovation and manufacturing.

Sight Glasses

Papailias manufactures the highest quality sanitary and industrial sight glasses on the market today. Designed to view conditions within process vessels, sanitary sight glasses suit applications in the food, dairy, and pharmaceutical industries, while industrial sight glasses are ruggedly built to handle harsher environments.

We offer a full range of process observation equipment to meet the needs of various types of process vessels and reactors. Our products can be constructed from a variety of ASME Section VIII acceptable metals including carbon steel and 304, 304L, 316 and 316L stainless steel to meet the needs of any system. Virtually any machinable alloy can be specified to meet user requirements and we also offer a full complement of optional accessories such as lighting, wipers, and washers.

Industrial sight glasses are available as circular or rectangular versions with glass that can withstand high temperatures and pressures. We offer numerous viewing dimensions and can manufacture custom sizes upon request.

Sanitary sight glasses are a circular system made with a leak-tight, tool-less assembly/disassembly standard sanitary clamping system to prevent any type of contamination from entering into the process stream and making for easy cleaning or sampling. They can be specified without the welding ferrule for mounting to the vessel connections. Our BoroAlloy™ Clamp Glass/Metal Alloy products are approved for sanitary applications, including CIP and SIP, and feature a single piece construction and borosilicate glass.

With more than 30 years of experience in designing and manufacturing sight glasses for sanitary and industrial applications, Papailias can be counted on for reliable and fail-proof products.
